WHAT IS WHITEK?
Whitek™ comes from the processing of Tyvek® to obtain a fabric suitable for fashion and design applications.
Tyvek® from DuPont is a material made of pure polyethylene fibres, randomly arranged and welded to form a support with interesting
technical characteristics
WHITEK™ has identified a process
which, through special pigments and specially modified machinery,
makes it possible to produce all ranges of colours, plain and patterned prints.
The colours produced are dusty, attractive and light, almost with a cloudy effect, which gives the product a unique
characteristic.
The use of coloured PU membranes modifies the fabric both visually and technically. With this procedure it is possible to obtain
full, strong and fluorescent colours,
the waterproof characteristics are improved and the fabric takes on a rubbery appearance in the hand. The Sanitized® antibacterial
treatmentcompletes the performance.
Surface treatment by applying silver and coloured foils that do not guarantee the same technical characteristics as the membranes
but give Whitek™ a particularly fashionable appearance.
The hand remains soft and does not creak during use.
